Lee Orton
Founder, President, and Chairman of the Board for Orton Management
Orton Management AssociatesLee is Founder, President, and Chairman of the Board for Orton Management. His career began serving as Chief Legal Counsel for the Nebraska Natural Resources Commission in 1969. Among his responsibilities, he helped designate the newly created Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts boundary lines upon the passage of LB1357. He worked at the Commission until 1973 and became the Executive Director of the Nebraska Association of Resources Districts. In 1983, he went into private practice specializing in Environmental Law, Administrative Law, Association Management, and Legislative Lobbying. Lee went on to found Orton Law and Orton Management in 1989. He is the recipient of numerous state and national awards and is passionate about Nebraska’s natural resources. Lee has a B.S. Degree from the University of Nebraska and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and spending time in his family garden with his wife Rita.
Jason Orton
Vice President
Orton Management AssociatesJason joined the organization in 2008 and is responsible for Event Coordination, including the Water Industry Convention & Trade Show, Water & Natural Resources Tours, Technical Support, and Continuing Education Activities for all of our clients’ needs. Jason serves on the Nebraska Society of Association Executives Board. He also serves on the Public Policy Committee for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Jason has a Business Degree from Doane University. In his free time, he enjoys shooting photography for sporting events, concerts, and wildlife, as well as participating in speed skating.
